PRODUCT INFO
REDFLEXplatescan® datasheet
- Can be used in both mobile and fixed settings
-
Uses an advanced neural network technology, which significantly enhances the accuracy of the read compared to traditional OCR systems - Is capable of accurate high-speed plate recognition across multiple lanes of high-density traffic moving at speeds of more than 110 mph
- Can read up to four vehicles per second
- When a positive match is received, police are alerted by an audio and/or visual alarm. Otherwise, the system operates in the background, allowing regular performance of police activities without distraction
- Reads license plates with any combination of color and infrared cameras. Thus, it can read new printed plates, older plates that have lost their reflectivity, as well as plates that have been sprayed with reflective coatings sold to consumers as solutions to defeat photo enforcement cameras
- Offers law enforcement the ability to run databases covertly from the patrol car
- Infrared cameras allow for 24-hour use, even in environments where there is no ambient lighting at all. These infrared cameras also contain a second, internally-embedded camera that provides a full-color overview image of the vehicle whose plate has been read, including its color, make, model and direction of travel. Each image is GPS/time-stamped.
- The software interface contains a powerful array of search tools for data analysis including use in cases where limited license plate characters are known, or to determine matching patterns of vehicle movements around crime scenes
